Comelec Extends Voters’ Registration Hours

I accompanied two of my nieces at the Comelec Registration Office in Quezon City last weekend and I found confirmation that it's  crunch time!

With less than 2 weeks left for the voters' registration, people are now rushing to get themselves listed. The problem now for new applicants is how to keep cool while dealing with the long lines, long wait and every other hassle imaginable. It's encouraging to see though that despite all that many people are still having themselves registered.

From what saw in this particular registration office, Comelec is doing its best to accomodate as many applicants as they can. It's just that the number of late applicants is too much. We, Filipinos, should really stop this habit of procrastination.

Well, good news for last minute registrants Comelec is extending its operating hours for the voters registration. From today to October 30 Comelec will accomodate applicants from 8 am to 9 pm. On October 31, the last day, the commission  will even extend up to 12 midnight.

Here's an Inquirer.net report if you want more details.
